Bikes

The heart of any bike shop is of course the cycles that it sells, and the experience of the staff in matching cycle to user. We employ our many years of experience selling cycles. We annually review the brands we sell to ensure we can always offer the best value for money. We are also able to offer a bespoke fitting that guarantees a comfortable fit, via our Bodyscan fitting

We stock adult bicycles from BH and Eddy Merckx. Folding bikes from world leaders Dahon are an excellent choice for commuters, those who travel a lot or anyone with restricted storage space. BMXs from Haro, We The People, DMR and Mongoose cover the needs of the more daring of our customers, and junior bikes are from Raleigh, Ridgeback and Falcon. Pavement cycles from Raleigh, Bumper, Falcon, and Mongoose complete the picture in complete bikes, but we also offer a custom building service linked, as all our bike sales can be, to our Bodyscanning CRM programme: Eddy Merckx and Mondiale provide the frames.

We also have a large range of electric bikes from Izip and Mongoose.

On this page you can navigate to our bicycle suppliers top right, or you can go to our on line shop by using the main e-commerce link above. You can check whether we have a bike in stock by sending an e-mail from the contact form, or of course by calling in or phoning us.

Questions that it is worth asking yourself about a new bike might include:

  • What is the main use for my bike?
  • Will I need to carry a load in my bike?
  • Will I need to have lights and mudguards?
  • Where will I store my bike?
  • What is my budget?
  • These questions will help you, and us, assess whether hybrid, sports bike, mountain bike or city bike, for example, is the right choice. We see many people riding heavy, full suspension mountain bikes, for example, who would have been able to buy a better quality city bike that would have suited their needs better. Often, this is because the person selling the bike has taken the easy option, and has not sought the answers to these questions.

Our staff are careful to ensure that they have answers to these and many other questions before they make their recommendation or recommendations - so that you get the bike that best suits you in every respect.
