Sidcup Cycles is very proud to announce the introduction of Eddy Merckx frames and bicycles. The Merckx legend is justly founded. These top level frames are hand made in Belgium. Each frame is checked for alignment within sixty minutes of construction. This means minimum stress to the tube joint. The welds are hand finished before the frame is sent to the paint-shop.In many paint finishes, every colour is a separate coat. This builds a depth of colour that is durable for decades. Whilst water decals are used on in the 2008 finishes, they are sealed under a very durable clear coat to preserve the legendary finish that is a characteristic of a Merckx frame.

User guide: Eddy Merckx offers his customers the luxury of choosing how they want their dream bike to be appointed. A number of frames are available as either a classic diamond shape or in a sloping frame build. You will need to consider the following areas:
The frame platform.
Front forks.
The groupset (includes brakes).
The wheel option.
Seat post
Saddle
Handlebars- type and size
Colour options.
We have shown the complete bikes as they appear in the catalogue, for the sake of simplicity. In fact, any groupset can be ordered with any frame, and there is a wide choice of other parts in the finishing kit - the combinations that Merckx have suggested are simply based on likely useage.
