CR-1 Road and Cross
The CR-1 Road series designed to bring the advances that Scott have made in composite technology within the reach of most racing and sportive cyclists. The frame is built from UHM carbon, using Scott's proprietory CR-1 process, and includes SDS, their specially-developed shock damping system.
The Cross bikes are alloy framed, and are designed for cyclo-cross cometition, using cantilver brakes, wide mud clearances, lower ratio gears and a heavier, cyclocross-specific wheel-tyre combination than would be used on the road.
Speedster (inc. "flat bar racers")
Speedster racing bikes share many characteristics with their more expensive, composite stable-mates, the Addict and CR-1 series, but use an aluminium alloy frame rather than a carbon frame.
These bikes make excellent race bikes, from Entry level up to Elite level, and the flat-bar variations give riders seeking a less aggressive riding position the option of class-leading frame and component technology without a dropped handlebar.
Addict
The Scott Addict range encompasses true professional-quality racing bikes. These are exactly the same as the bikes ridden by the Saunier Duval team, with the Addict Limited being one of the lightest production roadbikes available on the market today. At 5.9kg, in fact, it needs no less than 900g of ballast adding before it is "legal" under UCI rules for use in UCI-governed competition (so triathletes and time triallists, breath a sigh of releif!)
