The mechanics at Sidcup Cycles are second to none. Bicycles are our passion and our lives. All the mechanics are trained to the highest standards in the cycle industry. Every one of them has a Cytech or Weldtech qualification. All work undertaken is accountable, and we keep a record of all the work carried out on your bike to ensure you get the most out of the manufactures guarantees.

Mail Order Assembly Junior Bikes - £24.00
We will prepare your bicycle as thoroughly as we prepare our own bikes. All bearing areas are checked and adjusted to the correct tension. The brakes and gears are set up. Wheels may receive minor truing. Tyres are inflated to the required pressure. Junior bicycles (12-18”wheel)
Mail Order Assembly BMX and 20" geared bikes - £36.00
We will prepare your bicycle as thoroughly as we prepare our own bikes. All bearing areas are checked and adjusted to the correct tension. The brakes and gears are set up. Wheels may receive minor truing. Tyres are inflated to the required pressure.
Mail Order Assembly Teen/Adult bikes - £48.00

Wiped down and checked for alignment.

Hubs and rims checked for damage and wear.
Tyres
Tyres checked for wear and inflated to the correct pressure.
Drive Train
Removed, cleaned, checked for wear and re-oiled.
Brakes
Checked and adjusted.
Gears
Checked and adjusted.

Straightened in situ to correct minor damage.
Tyres
Tyres checked for wear and inflated to the correct pressure.
Headset
The headset is checked and adjusted to the correct tension.
Bottom Bracket
The bottom bracket is checked and adjusted to the correct tension.
Drive Train
The chain is cleaned and oiled.
Gears
The gears are cleaned. Checked and adjusted.
Brakes
Cleaned, stripped and adjusted. **

Straightened in a wheel jig to correct minor damage.

The headset is checked and adjusted to the correct tension
Bottom Bracket
The bottom bracket is removed and checked.
The bottom bracket shell is cleaned and the threads re-tapped if needed.
The bottom bracket shell is refaced if needed.
The bottom bracket is checked and adjusted to the correct tension.
Drive Train
The chain is cleaned and oiled.
Gears
The gears are removed and hand cleaned, checked for damage and wear, then refitted.
Brakes
Cleaned, stripped and adjusted.
Additional work included
Removal and refitting of tyres and inner tubes.
Re-taping of handlebars.
Refitting of handlebar grips.

Replacement ball bearings, brake and gear cables are fitted to ensure the best performance. Costs will be added to the parts bill.

Removal and refitting of damged or worn chainrings

Repairing a broken chain, or removal and replacement of a worn chain.
Transmission - Replacing a freewheel/cassette in a bike - £7.70
Removal of a worn freewheel/cassette and fitting the new replacement from a wheel fitted in the bike.

Disc Brake Servicing - £33.00
Includes the following: Fitting of disc's;hoses;brake levers if nessecary. Dismantle and inspection of the caliper if nessecary. Bleeding and resetting hydraulic brakes if nessecary. *Facing of disc brake mounts incures a surcharge of £12.00
Wheel Servicing - front wheel - £7.70
Includes the following: Dismantle and removal of the bearings and axle. Cleaning and inspection of the parts.
Wheel servicing - rear wheel - £11.75
Includes the following: Dismantle and removal of the cassette, bearings and axle. Cleaning and inspection of the parts. *Fitting a replacment freehub body incures a surcharge of £5.20
Transmission - Single Speed Conversion - £12.00
Includes the following: Removal of the nessecary multi-gearing parts. Fitting the single speed conversion kit. * price confirmation subject to inspection
Wheel Straightening (Trueing) per wheel - £10.00
Straightening minor damage to the wheel. The price may increase subject to extent of damage.
Wheel Trueing including fitting a spoke - £12.00
Removal of a broken spoke and fitting replacement spoke. Price subject to confirmation after inspection. Excludes the cost of parts
Wheel Building (per wheel) - £25.00
Includes a consultation with a wheel building specialist.
Puncture Repair/Tyre replacement - £3.50
Removal of damaged/worn tyre or tube from a stand alone wheel. *Excludes parts

If you are unsure if your bicycle is cost efficent to be repair, we can give you a detailed estimate to make your bike road worthy. *If you agree to proceed with the repair/restoration, this charge is waved.
Insurance Report - £20.00
A detailed inspection report for insurance purposes. This takes covers frame and fork alignment, as well as component inspection.
After Sales Check - £FOC
We offer a free after sales check on all our new bicycle sales. This check is offered sixty days after it's sale date, and covers: Checking of bearing adjustment in the hubs,steering and drive bearings. Adjustment of the brakes and gears. Pumping the tyres to the correct pressure. Wear and tear is not covered.
Straightening Gear Hanger - £7.50
Re-Alignment of a bent gear hanger.
Checking Frame Alignment - £10.50
Checking the frame alignment both to the rear triangle and main frame, head tube, front fork alignment.
Remove Gyro and front brake - £12.00
Remove the brake lever, gyro cable, gyro cups, and front brake.
Servicing of the Headset - £24.00
Removal of the headset bearings, cleaning of the related areas, reassembly.
Fitting a front fork. - £25.00
Removal of the original fork, cutting the streerer column to length, fitting of the new fork.
Striping and rebuilding a bike for respraying - £120.00
To strip and a bike down of its components and prepare the frame and forks for respraying. After refinishing, rebuilding the bike. Excludes the respray costs.
Fitting a pannier rack - £12.00
Fitting a pannier rack.
Fitting a set of mudguards - £12.00
To fit a set of full mudguards.
Fitting a child seat - £6.70
To fit a child seat. Excludes the cost of parts.
Fitting a set of stablilsers - £6.70
To fit a set of stablilsers to a junior bike.
Clean a bike - £12.00
To remove as much dirt, oil, grease, and rust as possible. Application of rust inhibitor to the frame forks and chain.
Cleaning a bike prior to service work. - £5.20
If a bicycle is left with us for service work and is covered in road dirt/mud/excrement, thus preventing the mechanic from safely and effectively carrying out the maintenance of the bicycle. A charge for labour and cleaning fluid will be made. Price is for labour only.
